The pump is built from the same screw spindle principle as the bigger KTS and KTSV families, so intake and pressure behaviour match while the frame shrinks to what a machine tool bed allows. Stator wear parts are replaceable from the outside and the pump tolerates dry running for short periods, which makes it a common choice on grinding and machining centres where coolant circulation is pumped directly off the tank.
