The extraction stations form the connecting point between processing machines and the piping system, and are fitted with optional chip reducers depending on the size and shape of the accumulating chips. The stop valves open and close so that chips are drawn from the extraction station in sequences. Metering units feed the chips evenly into the flow of suction air, which conveys them through the pipes to the central extraction unit. A cyclone separator then separates the extraction air and the chips. An automatic fine filter cleans the extraction air before discharging it into the hall or outside air. The chips fall downwards and are systematically discharged. A swivel chute at the discharge point on the chip conveyor can distribute the chips into different containers.
